Passion for Show Quality Minis & Ponies, Expertise for You

What began as a childhood love of horses has grown into a lifelong family passion.

Horses have always been part of our story. Both Johanna and Jim grew up around them, so when Jenny started asking for a pony at just three years old, it felt like a natural continuation of that legacy. Her first pony, Princess, soon joined the family—and from there, our journey truly began.

As our passion grew, so did our herd, leading us to our current farm in 2006. In 2008, we welcomed our first miniature horse, a rescue who introduced us to the incredible world of miniatures and changed our direction forever.

After attending our first AMHR show in 2009, we quickly fell in love with the breed, eventually expanding from under 34” Miniatures into the ASPC Shetland world. Years of showing, learning, and refining our program have shaped the breeding philosophy we carry today.

Since beginning our breeding program in 2011, our focus has remained the same: producing quality Miniature Horses and Shetlands with strong pedigrees, correct conformation, athletic ability, and exceptional minds.

At Little Buck Creek, we believe great horses begin with thoughtful breeding, careful selection, and a deep respect for the bloodlines that shape the future of the breed.

Whether you're searching for a competitive show prospect, a future breeding addition, or a cherished companion, we’re proud to share the horses we’ve poured our hearts into raising.
